Goodomen Kennels was ESTABLISHED IN 1987 with the introduction of "BJ", our first Akita. Back then we were also owned by a beautiful Rottweiler bitch called "Sarah". She was a much-loved member of our family though never quite the show dog that BJ became.
Sarah's first encounter with BJ was a magical romp around the yard with the game of hide and seek. BJ's playful personality won her heart instantly. They ate, slept and played together and as the friendship grew they became inseparable.
Sadly, a few years later, we were to lose Sarah after a long battle with a rare form of Cancer. For years to follow BJ would still look for her at the mention of her name. Now over the rainbow bridge they are together once more.

Our breeding program with BJ has been very select. As a result we have been able to replicate his wonderful personality, temperament, size and type in his much loved son "Vinnie". Following closely in his fathers paw prints, Vinnie is keeping the legend alive. Pictured at left is Vinnies son, Brody.
